ATTRACTIONS Around Balranald. Greenham Park .. Heritage Park .. Balranald Lions Parks .. River Drive .. Historic Walk .. Art Gallery .. Situated off Church Street. It includes the Race Course, swimming pool, sporting ovals, lawn tennis courts, netball courts, public toilets and Football Club (Australian Rules) facilities, as well as ample parking space. On Market Street Balranald, Heritage Park includes the Visitor Information Centre, the Old Gaol, Museum, Playground and barbeque facilities and public toilets. On Market Street Balranald, Lions Park includes playground and barbeque facilities, public toilets and a bus parking area. Take a stroll or a drive along the beautiful Murrumbidgee and enjoy a picnic on its banks while you catch a fish or two. (Please note there are no public toilet facilities here). Take a walk through history and follow our map to visit sites of historic significance. A copy of the town map showing the historic walk is available from the Balranald Visitor Information Centre. In Mayall Street visit our local gallery in the 120 year old Masonic Lodge and view the permanent artworks and pieces by local artists. Entry is free. Attractions Further Afield.. Mungo National Park .. Redbank Wier .. Lake Benanee .. Mungo National Park is at the centre of the Willandra Lakes World Heritage Area and 149kms north west of Balranald. Yanga National Park is loCated on the Murrumbidgee River east of Balranald and is one of Australia's newest National Parks. 170km of river frontage, rich colonial and indigenous heritage, extensive redgum forests and riverine wetlands, a wide range of flora and fauna, including endangered species and over 150 species of birds. Approximately 58kms north east of Balranald, the beautiful Redbank Weir area has barbeques and picnic tables located on a well maintained grassed area and public toilets. Approximately 13kms east of Euston on the Sturt Highway. The access road to Lake Benanee leads to a beach area and public toilets visible from the Sturt Highway.
