About the council
Council meets at 6pm on the third Tuesday of every month, excluding January. Meetings are held in the Council Chambers 70 Market Street Balranald. Council endevours to hold at least one meeting per year in an alternate location within the Shire. The meetings are open to the Public.
Meeting Notices are placed on local notice boards and copies of the monthly business paper is provided at Council's office in Balranald and on the internet, for the public to view.
To be considered by Council, correspondence must be received well in advance of the meeting date to enable officers to prepare a report for Council consideration. Not all matters go before Council, some are dealt with by staff under their delegated authority.
Council's Management Plan has now been produced, for the 2007/2008 Financial Year. Click on the link at the left to view or print a copy of the Management Plan. The Management Plan is an outline of where funds are allocated and it also sets out Council priorities for the next five (5) years.
